Our office is filled with professional, highly skilled, and trained individuals. Many of them have been with our practice for years and are greatly valued team members. All of our friendly staff are eager to assist you while here for your visit.
DENTAL ASSISTANTS
Our dental assistants provide crucial support for the dentist and hygienists. They are the part of our team that prepare patients for procedures, take x-rays and molds, assist during treatments, sterilize instruments and dental operatories, and educate patients on good oral hygiene. They will also ask you about your health history and if you have changes to report. They may even schedule your next appointment for you.
HYGIENISTS
Our dental hygienists are highly qualified and have years of experience. Their focus is to prevent and treat gum disease and encourage good oral health. While here, they will clean your teeth and apply any preventative treatments such as Fluoride and Sealants. They’ll use instruments as well as the water scalers to effectively clean your teeth. They work to educate patients on maintaining oral health and may identify potential dental problems as well as assist in the implementation of plans for treatment.
EXPANDED FUNCTIONS DENTAL ASSISTANT (EFDA)
An EFDA is a dental assistant that has special training to perform additional duties. They can place and contour fillings after the dentist has prepared the tooth. They may also place sealants.
RECEPTIONISTS
Our friendly receptionists are the first people you usually meet at our dental practice as they check you in. They schedule and reschedule patients for their visits. You will usually talk to them when you call our office. They call or text to remind you of your appointment. The receptionist will ask if you have any changes to your records including insurance updates, address, phone number, etc. At the end of your visit they will inform you of any future appointments to schedule and discuss payment options and insurance benefits.
Our front desk team also works on your behalf to file claims. They help you understand your benefits, verify coverage, and process claims. They are the liaison between you and your insurance company and insures accurate bill and processing of payments.
